A freeway is a high-speed, limited-access road. M1 riders are not allowed on freeways at all. Freeway riding also excludes limited-speed motorcycles and mopeds, regardless of the rider's licence level. Freeway skills become relevant only once you have advanced beyond M1 on a motorcycle capable of highway speeds.
