Products and Disability Insurance
LLQP Accident and Sickness module, Products and Disability competency. This study module is derived from publicly available sources: the CISRO LLQP competency profile, the provincial insurance statutes (including the Ontario Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. I.8), and standard industry product mechanics described in public regulatory guidance. ExamCAN is an independent study tool, not affiliated with CISRO, provincial regulators, or any insurer. "LLQP" is used for identification only.
The LLQP Accident and Sickness (A&S) examination is a 75-minute, 30-question assessment (plus five unscored pilot questions) administered by approved providers under CISRO's pan-Canadian framework. The single overall competency is: Recommend individual and group accident and sickness insurance products adapted to the client's needs and situation.
Within that overarching competency, the products-and-disability cluster tests your ability to:
- Explain the purpose, structure, and contract features of individual disability income policies.
- Identify the key definitions and contract provisions that determine when benefits are payable.
- Distinguish the main product types (short-term, long-term, non-cancellable, guaranteed renewable, group) and explain the trade-offs for a client.
- Apply the needs-analysis process to recommend appropriate coverage levels and benefit periods.
Scenario-based questions dominate. You will read a client situation and be asked to identify the correct product feature, the appropriate recommendation, or the consequence of a specific contract term.
