Health, Dental, and Living-Benefits Insurance
LLQP Accident and Sickness module, Health and Dental competency. Derived from publicly available sources: the CISRO LLQP competency profile, standard product mechanics in public regulatory guidance, and the Ontario Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. I.8. ExamCAN is an independent study tool, not affiliated with CISRO, provincial regulators, or any insurer. "LLQP" is used for identification only.
The health and dental cluster of the LLQP A&S examination tests your ability to:
- Explain the structure and purpose of extended health care (EHC), dental, and vision coverage in individual and group plans.
- Describe critical illness (CI) insurance and long-term care (LTC) insurance as living-benefit products distinct from disability income.
- Identify coordination of benefits (COB) rules and the circumstances under which they apply.
- Recognize the role of government health plans and their interaction with private coverage.
Questions in this cluster typically present a client scenario involving a claim, a coverage gap, or a choice between products. You must identify what the private plan covers, what it does not, and how COB affects the client's recovery.
