G1 drivers may not use 400-series highways alone, but the test still expects you to understand how they work.

- Speed: maintain a steady speed near the limit; driving far below the flow of traffic can be as dangerous as speeding.
- Following distance: increase your gap at highway speeds, stopping distances grow sharply as speed rises.
Common mistake: stopping at the end of an on-ramp. Unless traffic forces it, you should match traffic speed in the acceleration lane and merge, not stop and wait.
⚠️ Trap: You slow down after exiting onto the off-ramp, not in the through lane, braking in a through lane endangers the traffic behind you.
