• Two-second rule, minimum gap behind the vehicle ahead in good conditions.
• Three to four seconds, in rain, snow, fog, or behind a large vehicle.
• Skid recovery, ease off the gas, do not brake hard, steer where you want to go.
• Lane change sequence, signal, mirrors, blind-spot shoulder check, move, cancel signal.
• School bus, stop at least 20 m behind a bus with flashing red lights.
• Cyclists, pass leaving at least 1 m of space where practical.
